Quick answer
Remote support from Fasthuma Computer Repair Mac & PC is safe because you stay in control: we only connect with your permission, you watch the whole session on your screen, and you can end it at any time. We never call you out of the blue, show pop-up warnings, or ask for gift cards.
You stay in control
- We only connect with your permission. A session starts only when you allow it.
- You watch the session. Everything we do happens on your screen, in front of you.
- You can end it at any time. If you want to stop, close the session and we are disconnected.
- You approve changes. We check with you before anything important, like installing or removing programs.
The tool we use
We connect with Splashtop, a remote support tool, through our support system. We help you start each session over the phone.
Your privacy
Client data is stored securely, disposed of in accordance with industry standards, and never shared or sold to third parties. See our privacy policy.
Tips to stay safe with any remote support
- Only allow remote access to a company you contacted yourself.
- Never let someone in because of a pop-up, an unexpected call or an email.
- Never pay for tech support with gift cards.
- If you are not sure, hang up and call the company back on a number you know.

Watch out for remote support scams
Scammers pretend to be tech support to get into your computer or your bank account. Fasthuma will never:
- Call you out of the blue to say your computer has a problem.
- Show pop-up warnings telling you to call a number.
- Ask you to pay with gift cards, or ask for your bank or card passwords.
If you are not sure a call or message is really from us, hang up and call us at (510) 371-9201. If a pop-up says to call a number, don’t call it: close the browser, or turn the computer off, and then call us.
