Quick answer

How remote support works at Fasthuma Computer Repair Mac & PC: 1. Book a time online or call (510) 371-9201. 2. We help you start a secure Splashtop session; nothing connects without your permission. 3. A technician fixes the problem while you watch your screen. 4. You approve anything important, and you can end the session at any time.

Step 1: Book or call

Book a remote session online or call us at (510) 371-9201, Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. Tell us what is wrong in your own words. You don’t need to know the technical names for anything.

Before your session

  • Have your computer turned on and connected to the internet.
  • Keep your phone nearby, so we can talk you through connecting.
  • If the problem is with a program or an account, have the sign-in details handy. You type passwords yourself; we never need you to tell us your bank passwords.

Step 2: Connect securely

We use Splashtop, a remote support tool, to connect to your computer. We help you start the session over the phone. Nothing connects until you allow it. See how to connect.

Step 3: We fix it

A CompTIA certified technician works on your computer while you watch everything on your screen. We explain what we are doing in plain language, and you can ask questions at any time.

Step 4: You approve

We check with you before anything important, like installing or removing programs. When you are happy, the session ends. You can also end it yourself at any time.

After your session

If you pay as you go, we email you an invoice after the session: $125 for the first hour, then $31.25 for each 15 minutes after that. Subscribers pay their monthly $150 and are not billed per session. See pricing.
